Brushless Motor Bearing Replacement

In this video, I show how to change bearings in a brushless RC Motor. The motor used in the video is an RCTimer 3536-9 however the same principles apply to most motors. In my next video, I will cover why replacing the bearings is a benefit and how to go about selecting the right bearings for your motor and application.

Thank you, if you look on the Boca bearing site under Sales, 99 Cents, you can get them cheaply and they are good too.

NTM propdrive motors use a 3x7x3 for the lower bearing, and a 3x7x4 for the uppers. hope this helps

Problem is i'm from England(UK), just done a search for some nice recommended ceramic ones, bit pricey at a couple of pounds each :O so will make a phone call after measuring and go from there, I never did find your vid on what bearings are suitable, I did a search and ceramic does seem the best but would rather find a good mid range to save a few quid as I will prob replace the lot to be safe, i'll see what the bearing guys have to offer :)

@glmccready The 3536 series motors use bearings OD 11mm, ID 5mm and width 4mm, replacing the bearings along with balancing the bell (being it is disassembled) at the same time, should make a substantial improvement in your video quality. Of Course, balance the props too.

Awe!! The ceramics are great for video but as you have stated, pricey for sure. I am sure Boca will ship to England, have you tried?

Great job mate!!, just ran up my new rc timer outrunners on my quad and 1 already sounds like the bearings are shot >:(, will have to replace before lift off in case of failure, Chinese bearings are known to be complete shite, same happened on both my
e flite park 450 outrunners, 3D flight made the bearings cry with pain LOL!!, need some Japanese/German quality, dont want failure with all my FPV gear on board :)

Sorry but I don't know that motor. What I suggest is if you don't already own a pair of calibers, invest in some. Then disassemble a motor, measure the bearings and other the size needed. That way, there is no way to go wrong. :)
