I actually came up with this....

Newt tried to kill himself, Minho prevented him to. Minho almost died in WCKD, Newt couldn't help but help him break free. Now Newt died saving the person that once saved him before. That's why he was so persistent saving Minho because he once did it to him. And he really wanted to repay Minho so much. That's why he died saving Minho, and at the same time he died Minho trying to save him 😭

And I really thought he would get the cure until they jumped out of the window and Newt could barely walk or stand.... I had watched the movies first and.... it made TDC rly hard to read. Especially when they found Newt in the Crank Palace. That book was hard too..

He suffered so much in the third movie. I cried so fucking much when he died. The fact that Newt was talking about when he wanted to suicide in a deleted scene..
He was telling Thomas about when he was in the Maze, he was saying: "Have i told you about the time i broke my leg? When i arrived in the Maze, in the box like the other guys, i felt empty. Like i was missing something.. Y'know?
And so one day, i woke up early and snuck into The Maze and i found the tallest wall i could. I climbed and jumped off it, but i got tangled in all the ivy and broke my leg in 3 places. I thought it was over but Minho found me and took me to the Glade. He never told anyone about what actually happened.
And Minho needs us now, so we have to find him, cause if there is even the slightest chance that we could save him, get him out of there, then we have to take that."
