What a tragic story...made so much worse by the fact that it was preventable, and those 155 people died because of lack of safety precautions and preparedness. One of the only consolations in stories like this is that they bring awareness and change. But too little too late for all those families and loved ones.

Ich bin von Österreich (Kärnten) und Kaprun ist ca 1 Stunde von mir entfernt. Als wir das damals in den Nachrichten sahen waren wir entsetzt Wir waren ein paar mal mit der Familie auf dieser Bahn bevor das passiert ist. Ich war damals 7 aber kann mich noch ganz genau erinnern (ich habe nicht alles verstanden damals aber ich spürte wie schlimm das war). Plötzlich hört man in allen Medien das da 155 Menschen gestorben sind es war schrecklich. Man könnte sagen es war unser mini 9/11..
