Epic Games error 0xc000007b | (2024) FULL STEP BY STEP SOLUTION/FIX ✅

Explanation:

1. Go to the place where you've installed launcher (usually c:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\)
2. Open the 'DirectXRedist' folder
3. Inside, there will be several .cab files (those are just simple archives), IGNORE the 'dxupdate' file
4. Open those .cab files and extract JUST the .dll files, and put the wherever you want (could be the Desktop).
5. Now put those .dll files that you extracted inside the folder where your launcher is located (usually c:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\Launcher\Portal\Binaries\Win32\).
6. Launch the Epic Games Launcher.

IF METHOD ABOVE DIDN'T WORK, I have a 2nd solution:

1.Select the epic game launcher shortcut on desktop
2.Right click properties

I just recently got my pc and I've had this problem from the start and this was the closet I've got to fixing the problem cause it started updating the launcher but after it updated it went straight back to showing the error message you got at first. Changing the target to -OpenGL worked, but i am not able to download games. I can just open the launcher
