Symptoms of cerebellar dysfunction

Показать описание
Dyssynergia: Erratic or jerky movements from poorly coordinated muscle groups
Dysmetria: Overshoot or undershooting targets due to poor coordination between agonist/antagonist muscle groups
Intention Tremor: Irregular, side-to-side movements that increase in frequency as the target is approached (as in finger-to-nose assessment)
Hypotonia: Flaccid musculature due to low or irregular output from the cerebellum
Dysarthria: Slow, scanning, slurred, or ataxic speech from poorly coordinated muscles of vocalization
Nystagmus: Disrupted vestibulocerebellar pathways lead to a saccadic or beating movement of the eye with a fast and slow component
