Amy J. Oliver will provide an overview of her current position with the Securities and Exchange Commission in Salt Lake City and will describe her career path, provide career advice, and discuss life lessons.

Oliver is trial counsel with the Division of Enforcement for the SEC in the Salt Lake Regional Office. Prior to joining the SEC, she served as an assistant United States Attorney in the District of Utah for nine years. Before beginning government service, Oliver worked for Latham & Watkins in Washington, D.C., and Perkins Coie in Phoenix, Arizona. She received a BS summa cum laude in political science from the University of Utah and a JD cum laude from Harvard Law School.
