What I learned from the Oct, 1st Vice Presidential debate between candidates J.D. Vance & Walz is that Vance realizes Trump will become a political relic and the Trump campaign is sailing on the Titanic.
Subsequently, Vance is now preparing for his presidential run in 2028 by using his Yale Law School education savvy to appear palatable to moderates and independents, while still balancing his real loyalty to the extreme right.

When I turned 18 in 1989 (and I have not missed an election since that date), one of the poll workers was my neighbor. She knew my name. I knew her name. Her kids and I grew up together (didn’t ever hang out, but that’s ok). When I walked into that polling station, she greeted me by name, handed me a ballot, and I voted. There was another older lady collecting the marked ballots and when she witnessed me dropping my marked ballot into the box, she, without prompting, said, “Kirk Jeffery has voted!” I wasn’t living in a small town. I lived in Boise, Idaho. Most polling places I have visited in my now 53 years of life have been similar. Let’s sing, “Sesame Street for a moment, ” “Who are the people in your neighborhood, your neighborhood, in your neighborhood?” The poll workers are our friends and neighbors.

The GQP has decided that we can no longer trust our neighbors, that we should live in fear, that we should have loaded guns next to our front doors. I don’t buy that malarkey. And I might be a well educated white man, but, trust me. I have lived in some sketchy neighborhoods.

In Australia voting works this way: You go to a voting loation nearest to your home in your town. You produce a divers license or other suitable ID. You get a ballot paper, and tick the boxes of the candidates you support, and drop it into a ballot box. Officials count the votes. The candidate with the most votes wins. If it's not the candidate you voted for you live with it. It is so simple. Only third world countries and counties with dictators can't manage this. America is turning third world.
