The simple fact is that although many Indians see Rahul Gandhi as a decent person and as reasonably intelligent, they also see him as some one with absolutely no administrative experience. The PM candidates with administrative experience are Mayawati, Mamta Banerjee, Sachin Pilot, Jyoti Scindia, Captain Amarinder, Omar Abdullah, Mulayam and Akilesh and the opposition parties should get together and shortlist 3 PM candidates within the next 3 months and thereafter market them to the people of India. When the PM questioned Rahul's prime ministerial ambitions, it resonated with the people of India as Rahul, for all his charisma doesn't have the administrative experience that some leaders of the opposition parties have.

This is not a win for BJP in any way. It really depends on perspective. If this was a victory for ideology, the victory would've been so thumping that all the parties would've diminished I front of BJP. If anything the people of Karnataka have voted for secularism but who they chose is simply the confusion. Congress has to take heart from the fact that they have held their own against overwhelming money might and online trolling. The one message to the Grand old party is you have to change your message, and you cannot sit on your butt no more and hang on to your past glory. Rahul Gandhi must be aggressive and must take the questions of his identity head on and not sidestep them or ignore them. The group of sycophants that surround you Mr Gandhi, they have to go.
