The music to this logo is the best one and it's the original composition. In the newer version they changed it and added some chorus which was unnecessary and you can't hear the drum at rhythm (boom...boom....boom boom boom) at the end like you can in this video.

I still remember the horror I felt when I first saw that logo, twenty years ago. :D The high saturation colors, the rays of light coming from the earth (WTF), the awful 3D title... I'm a 80's kid, I grew up with the much more classy 90-97 logo. That change was preposterous. And 2013 was sort of a liberation !

This is one movie company that loves to update itself (the music, the logo, everything) everytime ten to twenty years goes by.

I'm kinda surprised that Universal didn't switch to this enhanced version of their logo on their films in the late 2000s. I say this because by that time, better projection systems were appearing, which meant that Universal could've taken advantage of them with this logo. It would've made the NBC Universal byline nicer.

I've first seen this logo on the original Despicable Me. Seeing this now gets a bit of nostalgia. Tbh, I like the 90s Universal logo and the new one a lot
