Mike Malaska you are a fricking genius! I am almost 70 years of age and in one month you have given me an understanding of golf and the physical power that I thought I could never posses at my age! Please keep up the good work.

The single most helpful instructional video ever. After watching this I went to the range this morning and was absolutely killing it. The most beautiful part is it doesn't have to be perfect it can be just OK and you will hit a great shot. Thank you Mike.

I have struggled with that first move down off and on for a year or more. It was because I tried to swing down with my left hand and I couldn't feel when it was right. The minute I watched this video the light went on. Thanks so much Mike.

This is an important way to teach golf. You are discussing the forces the body uses rather than dwelling on the positions captured in pictures of golfers swinging. The forces used in a moving swing are different from the forces needed to recreate the positions seen in pro golfers when the positions are fixed and at rest rather than moving.

You are the real golf teacher. The other is just BS. So glad to find you here. Only wish that it happened earlier. God bless you Mister.

After 40 years of playing and getting stuck, humping the goat and hitting weak offline shots, I ran in to Mikes videos. I was at home recovering from an illness and I was able to review and go through all the drills in slow motion, and when I recovered, “bingo” I now have a new laser-like swing. Still working on my driver, but my irons are awesome, thanks Mike, hope to meet you in Arizona some day.

Before I practiced the Malaska teaching, I was putting so much pressure on my lumbar spine that I was contemplating back surgery. It took a while, but I have very little pain after I play or practice. Thank you Mike from the bottom of my back!!

Hardly anyone teaches this but it's key to effortless power and accuracy as well. Nice work.

I love the way Mike teaches, he makes everything sound so logical. The issue I have with this video is that he spends a lot of time (in other videos) telling us that you want to feel your swing "level out" after you hit the pivot point in the downswing, from which I infer that thinking "down" (as this video seems to suggest) is going to wreck the swing. I have a real problem hitting fat but I've come to the realization that it's not because my hands and wrists don't "know" when to unhinge, my inner golfer does indeed have a good sense of timing, it's that my BODY doesn't move forward sufficiently. I basically stop rotating, look at the ground and when I unhinge my wrists the club digs into the dirt behind the ball. I thoroughly believe that if your sequencing is correct; i.e. your body is rotating in concert with your arms and the club, your wrists will unhinge automatically at precisely the right time, you don't need to think about it. The swing occurs so quickly than I don't think there's TIME to figure: "OK, unhinge my wrists NOW". Of course, everyone's different, there may be a lot of people who need to think timing, I just know that there's at least one (me) who shouldn't.

the greatest change was the inside move with the hands and the club head automatically goes out toward the ball.. that tip just push my game to another level... i sucked for 2 years cuz sometime i would hit straight and then lose it the next time i went back... now i know why... thanks MIKE!

"Swinging the shaft" also is a great way of allowing the momentum of the clubbed into the ball. I'm a big fan of the Malaska Move after 40 years of butt-leading, elbow-leading, holding-the-lag forms of swinging the golf club with very few moments of brilliance and many moments of inconsistency. Thanks, Mike.

"Lag, or whatever you want to call it, just happens because of what you're trying to do with the club." (paraphrase/summary)

People ought to put that up as a poster on their walls and read it every day.

If you get this, you have a golf swing. Thank you Mike

This swing thought as changed my iron play a lot. Added 10 yards of distance to a 7 iron but more importantly added consistency and a feel of what that illusive lag feels like. Applying the concept to the driver has proven a bit daunting perhaps due to the length of the shaft. I feel confident that this is the right path however, as my irons have never felt this good. Thank You.

Mike, I think this is great! Can you maybe make a video of how the left hand/arm works in relation to this right hand/arm throwing action? Thanks
