The city of Costa Mesa filed an injunction Friday to block the transfer of up to 70 confirmed coronavirus patients from near Sacramento.

Mayor Foley isn't kidding. The Fairview Developmental Center is directly across the street from a shopping plaza (Home Depot/Albertson's) and a block away from Orange Coast College, one of the biggest community colleges in the country. This is highly concerning.

Put them outside cities & towns somewhere in the California desert with hospital equipment & medical personnel.

CDC says we have 14 patients with confirmed cases of Wuhan virus in the US, yet 70 confirmed cases are being moved within the US to Costa Mesa CA? To old buildings that certainly cannot contain this, have questionable HVAC systems likely without adequate, if any biofilters.
How they going to move these people? Airport to airport, then buses, cars, etc. Then they have to take in food & supplies from somewhere to somewhere else... chain goes back to food supplies & distribution centers eventually.
Air drops may be necessary.

They said Costa Mesa had no right no intervene with the agency in charge of this.
Whoever made the decision of putting all this families at risk and saying Costa Mesa is acting on fear should be held accountable if the virus actually spread.
Not just him/ them but their families as well. If it spread death to all of them that ought to keep them from lying and putting innocent families at risk for who knows what reason. So to speak put your family where your mouth is.

Whats crazy in the movie "contagion" shows the virus started in hong Kong. The first U.S. case was in Chicago as in the movie. You do the math.

No one at the other 3 sites in California had a say in this. I guess that the lives of Costa Mesa residents mean more than the lives of the other people in California. Costa Mesa isn't the only populated area in California to have been considered, Ontario did the same thing. Rich City people are just more important than any one else, since they can afford to have their way about everything.

From 2005-2008 I worked at Fairview developmental center (FDC) I moved away and came back seeking a rehire. I was told all the northern centers are closing and eventually FDC will place the "Walkers" and "talkers" will be put in local group homes. A couple years ago, there was talk about turning FDC into a homeless shelter..perfect combo I say! Homeless will not be imprisoned so let's see, how secure will a quarantine be!?
Costa Mesa is already considered a sanctuary city..so, I see the plan went as far back as 2008!! MARANATHA!
