The Sox lost to the Mariners again, but that wasn't even close to being the story of the day. The big news of the day is that Jerry Reinsdorf finally fired Kenny Williams and Rick Hahn. The two men he had in charge of his organization had gotten to a point where they just couldn't work together any more.

Kap tells you a couple of stories about the White Sox front office that are unbelievable. You'll want to tune in to hear what they are.

Kenny Williams was one of the most arrogant, self-entitled front office execs to ever hold a lofty position for so long. His sole accomplishment of winning the WS in 2005 aside, he should never have been given that much time to helm an organization, despite being "like a son" to Reinsdorf. Same goes for Hahn. I will not miss his smugness. Between the two of them, they failed to build a healthy franchise able to compete year after year. Their incompetence was glaring. But ultimately, it is Jerry Reinsdorf who ruined this organization. By putting these two in charge for so long, he exposed himself as a small-minded owner whose stubbornness and loyalty toward the wrong people got him in this predicament. I wouldn't be shocked to hear that the other investors of the team finally had enough and forced Jerry to clean house. Next step is to sell. Sox fans deserve better leadership at the very top. Reinsdorf failed time and again after 2005.

As a cubs fan I feel bad that white Sox fans have to deal with that nonsense on the south side

Kap I have a Kenny Williams is a POS story. I was working as a mortgage broker out of Evanston when Kenny was within a year of becoming the Sox GM. I liked to talk about sports as a way to break the ice with new customers. I had a new client who was friends with Roland Hemond. It was reported that Reinsdorf insisted that the Sox hire Hemond as Kenny's consultant because he was a rookie GM. According to my client, whenever Hemond was in a room with Kenny, he would always get completely ignored by Kenny as if he was not present. Hemond was well-known to be a good guy and a classy guy. This is a perfect example of the deep depth of Kenny Williams' arrogance and cruelty. Also trading Jake Burger was dumb even for a promising lefty starter. Hahn is too smart to have made this very questionable trade.

I could see Kenny behaving that way. Was that always his nature or did the 05 WS go to his head?

McGuffey told the same story yesterday 👍

I never forgave Kenny for cutting Frank Thomas. He behaved poorly towards Kap and Ryan. Glad Kenny is finally gone.

A huge “congratulations” to Williams and Hahn for completely erasing any memory of the ‘05 season in the near two decades since in what some may arguably call the “Darkest and Lowest” times in CWS history.

Like the Bears, the CWS have proven winning a world championship was an accident, a mere happenstance.

Fire Grifol (not his fault he’s just a bench coach), make D-Bo manager. That’s about all that can be done for now.

Jerry finally realized that he needed to fix the problem he created by elevating Kenny Williams instead or asking him to choose between retiring and remaining G.M. In my opinion, Kenny coming out in May and expressing his displeasure at the Sox' poor start was the beginning of the end for him. It suggested that he was trying to detach himself from the results and pin the blame 100% on Rick, Pedro and the players. Don't know if he meant it that way, but that's how it came across.

Trading Burger seems like such a Kenny Williams move. I shouldn’t be so surprised.

Hey Kap - love the updates - but why would you throw Ryan under the bus at that moment and let Kenny at him?
