Inside The Billionaire Lifestyle Of Henry Ford

One can only imagine how massive of a fortune Mr. Ford had under his belt before passing away, but you don’t need to imagine anymore, because in Today’s video, we’ll tell you all about Mr. Henry’s wealthy lifestyle and riches. Let’s hope right in!

Have you ever wondered what kind of property Henry Ford must live in? Well, the American business mogul, industrialist and founder of the Ford Motor Company is one of the wealthiest men in American history. He lived in a 55-room mansion, and owned many other properties as well.

In the early 1900s, Henry and Clara Ford selected 1,400 acres of farmland in Dearborn, Michigan, as the site for a new home.

They would call it the Fair Lane estate. In 1917 the couple moved into this newly constructed, 55-room mansion. Henry spent an extravagant amount of money to build this peaceful respite -- surrounded by meadows, woods, gardens, and the nature Clara loved.

According to some articles, the property had costed more than 3 Million to build, and currently that home is worth more than 10 Million Dollars despite its remote location.

As a young boy, Mr. Ford's Biography was in our school library, I read it twice. I also read Walter P Chrysler's Bio. I wondered why great men got to be great. Mr. Ford taught me the value of hard work and wise business practices.

Mr. Ford grew up on a farm in Michigan of immigrant parents. I saw the same "rags to riches" behavior in Red Skelton who befriended my mother. In the 1960s he usually carried about $5000. on his person at all times. The only philanthropy that I can attest to was that he performed in the charity show for the L.A. Fire Department "Widows and Orphans " fund, which is how he met my mother. We were at his house one evening and he pulled a fortune of uncut diamonds out of his pocket.
I love what Henry did for others and especially the hospital for marginal means. He was brilliant and probably out shone Mr. Edison when he worked for him in his younger days, as did Tesla.

He also donated the hospital near me, and the condition was that ANYONE could go there whether they could pay 0or not and can not be refused. They sadly forgot that now.

5:25 We, Arabs, have this quote "Who does not have a past, does not have a future." So, when it comes to Henry preserving history, he's right.

Ford should be regarded as one of the best businessmen in history.
Much like Gates, Ford amassed a fortune while paying his employees very well from a business that has had an integral part in improving the quality of lives for mankind.

He did pretty good for himself being a fancy farmer. The Man created a principal for himself and then followed it. - I did the Woodward Avenue Cruise and everything Ford related around Dearborn. I also stopped by the Ford V8 museum not far from Auburn, IN. What I see is that Henry senior really loved what he was doing. He loved a challenge and would grit his teeth and hit it head-on. I do believe he chose his challenges carefully, logically and methodically. One can only run wide-open if one knows one's limits.

I have been to Fairlane Mansion a number of times, and it's modest compared to Vanderbilt and others of that ilk. The Edsel Ford mansion on Lake St. Clair is more impressive. Ford's best legacy is Henry Ford Hospital, Greenfield Village, and the Ford Foundation.

Glad I seen this video. I was unaware of his charitable works. I always thought he was a skinflint with money, but treated himself well. Visited the Ford museum and village in Detroit, put it on your bucket list, its incredable. Visited his Fort Myers home, nothing really fancy about it. True blue friend of Edison who lived next door with a sidewalk leading to each others homes. Edison lab across the street, another bucket list must see.

Helen Joy, wife of Packard president Henry B. Joy, also drove a Detroit Electric automobile. And James Ward Packard, company founder, was also a pocket watch fanatic. There was apparently an international society of mega-rich men who spent a fortune commissioning evermore complicated watches, for the bragging rights over who spent the most. The likes of Bezos and Musk are nothing new.

Henry was a poor farm boy who hated the drudgery of the back breaking labor he grew up in. He had a mission to make a difference to the working man and the farmers. Yes he was a harsh business man, something he learned from Edison and others of his era. But he did the world more good than any politican ever did. People often call his little Model T and his later Fordson tractors poor designs, but they did the job and poor folk could buy one and get their life improved. Not many other business men can equal that. And yes he had tried to enter the European market as well, but not as any help to the dictators but to improve the life of the common people over there as he did here. He withdrew as did others like Lindberg and others, when the intent of the leaders there became more widely known. Our present day President and other top leaders of The USA are far more negatively involved in the troubles in the world than Ford ever was, and times are just as dangerous today, if not more so.

When Edison left his Menlo Park laboratory for a new larger lab, it had soon fallen into disrepair and was scavenged by many of the locals for building materials. When Mr. Ford started assembling the collection of historical buildings for his new Greenfield Village museum complex he sent men out to scour the countryside looking for abandoned properties or to make deals to purchase historical properties. One such property was Edison's Menlo Park lab where he created the world's first successful incandescent light bulb. The men found the lab and that it had been scavenged of its wood and some of its masonry. Mr. Ford instructed his men to search the entire area around the lab and indeed they had found where the clapboard siding, window casings, and masonry had gone to. His men would approach a farmer who had one of the boards on his barn or window casing on their house and offer to buy the them back. To sweeten the deal Mr. Ford would build the farmer a brand new modern barn or house from the foundation up completely free of charge.
