Great video on Greece... a lot of awesome info .. if i may just add, there is another grape which is the most upcoming white of Greece.. Malagousia is an indigenous grape which disappeared over the years, probably because of its sensitivity to grow. I would describe it between a Viognier and chardonnay. good weight and softness of the pallet reminiscent to peaches and pears and a nose of white flowers. Evangelos Gerovasiliou has single handedly revived it and is now very popular. Try his Malagousia single vineyard around 30$, Also, retsina much like Chianti has gotten a bad reputation from overproduction by way too many that saw an opportunity to sell... however, the new versions that are being done and revived by companies like Kechris who produce this type of wine from Assyrtiko grape are now making a wonderful wine, They are also using their own indigenous pine which also adds to the complexity of the wine rather than hide it. Try "Tears of pine" from Kechris around 32$ Canadian, you will love it! For great wines of Greece research Tselepos wines in Nemea, Hatzimichalis in Central Greece, Thymiopoulos in Naoussa and Kir Yiannis and also Alpha in Florina. Don't forget the wines of Santorini from Argyros... All these and many more are great producers that i was able to visit. i have no affiliation to any of these, just a fan:)

Xinomavro is pronounced more like kseenόmavro with the no emphasized. The other's pronuncuation was close enough.
