It is worth reading Tolkein's creation myth in "The Silmarillion". His depth of understanding ancient stories and repurposing them for his own yarn is extraordinary, carried over into the Lord of the Rings. Minds like his in the distant past, would have had little problem in airbrushing and remolding the earliest narratives to form an official biblical unity.

Since I reread Exodus, as an adult, I have maintained that Moses met someone with superior technology on top of Mount Sinai. The people couldn't even touch the mountain, probably to do with radiation? The smoke and great noise...of the aerial vehicle that brought "God" on top of the mountain.

Growing up, I always had intuition along with using my own brain to see that the Father of Jesus Christ in the New Testament had nothing to do with the 'god' of the old testament.
