What a great coincidence that right after I jailbreak my Wii, I get this short. I won't lie, as soon as I figured it out and managed to make the jailbreak work, it felt as if I just bought a whole new console. Every game I have ever wanted to play on the Wii, but never got a chance to, I finally can play them and see what I missed out on. Every Wii game I have lost and never got to play again, I can finally rescue them and make up for lost time. It feels as if my Wii was rejuvinated or something. It feels like a brand new console even if it really isn't. God bless all the modders, jailbreakers, and hackers out there.

I have no clue how it’s so damn easy to mod a wii but to find isos is like threading a needle in your urethra

Just found a Wii at Goodwill for $30 with a Wiimote, sensor, and steering wheel. It now has the entire libraries of Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, NES, SNES, Game Gear, SG-1000, Master System, Genesis, 32x, Sega CD, Neo Geo, CPS 1, CPS 2, CPS 3, Wii and Game Cube. It plugs straight into a CRT for native 240P. It can also run at 480p. I don't know why I slept on this for so long. I'll probably buy 2 or 3 more of these just to have them connected up to different TV's.

The Switch is pretty easy too, it's a liiiitle bit more of a pain but getting all the mobile emulators and stuff is pretty cool. PS3 is another easy one if you wanna play older stuff, and it's a decently powerful system.

I guess it’s cause the Wii was the most causal gaming console ever. People just wanted to play Wii Sports with their family and friends and move on. That was the common way of using it, so that’s why it’s not like a PC, where it’s common to jailbreak, pirate, and customise in general.

I sold my wii less than a year ago but I also bought a wii u 10 months ago and literally 10 minutes after getting home with it, it was jailbroke!! So I got all the wii and wii u games I want. The only other thing I still have to do is set it up for gamecube games!!

For me the reason why I didn't jailbreak my wii is that I don't have a pc to get some of the stuff that I wanted for the Wii

I actually DON’T in fact have a Wii lying around in my garage, but I am getting a Wii U that gets here Monday. Pretty much the same thing, right?

People don’t do it because the legality of it all is confusing. Some people worry they would get a lawsuit or a letter from their ISP, it also raises some questions. Don’t get me wrong though, I wish I could feel comfortable enjoying this stuff.

(EDIT: I’m not even sure I care about the games individually I just like the experience and nostalgia of exploring undiscovered content. Games are like interactive works of art, using cheats to experience them from a new perspective is kind of fulfilling).

I jailbroke my Wii but everytime i run a game i can play it for about two hours before the entire console shorts out and needs some time to be able to start back up. It actually bricked the first one i had when this happened and now the problem continues with my second. No idea why but to this day i am yet to finish a single Wii title.
