One of my favorite Motown songs!!! Wow, the bass and drums DRIVING that rhythm just MOVES this one!!!! The bass and drums are prominent in the mix for a reason, right behind the vocals and solos, for good reason. Part of Barry Gordy's formula that worked so many times. Oh, the one was a sax. Have you guys ever watched the video Standing in the Shadows of Motown? That would make a GREAT TOPIC!!! You'd learn a LOT!!!

Love all the great Motown artists. They had real class & beautiful harmonies. Love the matching choreography steps that these groups had. The Four Tops had lots of hits such as "Baby I Need Your Loving", “I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch)", "Ask The Lonely", "Reach Out (I'll Be There)", "Standing In The Shadows Of Love", "Bernadette", "Ain't No Woman", "Something About You", "Shake Me, Wake Me (When It's Over)", "Loving You Is Sweeter Than Ever" etc. The Temptations had a similar style & also had lots of great songs.

My mom was a huge fan of the R&B and Motown classic era so I got to listen to all of these true giants of the 60's and 70's. The harmonies, the style, the moves and lyrics and just how COOL these groups were. I wish music was made like this still.

My favorite 4 Tops songs are When She Was My Girl and Stillwater. They had so many great hits and in all honesty all of their songs deserve reactions. They were a mainstay for Motown. They were 4 guys who hung out together and started a group. The members never changed, it was always the same 4. Their lead singer, Levi Stubbs, had a voice that was incomparable.
