Yes I agree on all points, I have owned both for some time. I still pull it out to fish with often despite having many other higher end reels, I just like the ergonomics and strong brakes. It basically serves as one of my "truck" reel combos with 2-piece rods that I have at the ready for any unexpected fishing opportunities that may arise, perhaps, on or off the clock...😏😏😏😏

Been using this reel. It’s a really good cheap reel. Just caught a couple 2lbers yesterday and the drag system is quite tough. It casts light lures pretty well even with 10lb Varivas braid for me. Honestly love this reel definitely recommend

I have kestrel and valiant eagle pro....i can say the valiant eagle pro is my favourite..

I don't have a over breaking issue with my kestrel elite and most issues you stated I don't have with my kestrel elite.

I'd rather have a heavier reel with a solid frame like aluminum or magnesium any day over a cheap nylon nylon/composite framed reel. Im not even a fan of carbon frames after knowing the issues that arise after use and larger fish catches.

Well i have try casting 0.5gram jighead on my valiant eagle 2 and it still cast without problem .
No snap just direct 15lb fluorocarbon leader and 10lb braided mainline and 0.5gram jighead alone .🔥

What’s up my g? How does that reel compare to the silver feather elite? And what’s the price? I need to get my nephew a cheaper alternative.
Also I think you should buy a bantam 22 if you like the silver feather series. And a zillion 22 does the same, but the frame isn’t metal.

Probably a smarter buy than the Kestrel Elite. I have the Kestrel Elite and it's not great. It performs like a sub $100 reel honestly. Maybe bc I use it next to my Alderberan.

Hey, seems you haven't tested spools fully. I have both of them and just made the swap. So, the difference of shaft leigh is about one millimeter 34.7mm of new one vs 35.7 of WEII .It impacts of tension brakes setup.

hey man, if these reels were priced similar, would you rather get an 2023 antares dc md, 2024 metanium dc, or the 2021 antares dc. I usually just fish for largemouth and hybrid striped bass. i know its overkill
