I had a good time with this one. Not near the adrenaline rush of Fury Road but Alyla Browne and Anya Taylor Joy did great as Furiosa but Chris Hemsworth was the show stealer for me! I did feel some pacing issues but overall it was an enjoyable return to the wasteland.

I have pre-ordered the "Mad Max 5-Film Collection" coming at the end of September. I will wait for that. Although the contents looks a bit sparse, I think it will be nice to have all 5 movies in one box. Sadly, I think Furiosa will be the end of the franchise, so may as well get them all together. Good to hear that the 4K transfer and atmos sound are demo worthy.

As you mentioned the 3d depth to the film, this maybe sony doing its magic with the cognitive xr processor. 1 thing I've noticed since moving from my 77" LG c1 to the Sony 85" x95k is the depth. Its like 3d without the glasses.

I had a feeling you would enjoy this one Keith. It's no surprise the 4K tranfer on this is absolutely stunning. I had to laugh everytime Chris was on screen, what was with that nose. A very enjoyable movie, one I will certainly watch again.

Watched this in Dolby Cinema and IMAX with Laser GT on the same day.

Thoroughly enjoyed the movie both times.

It's interesting that this movie came out the same time as 'kingdom of the Planet of the Apes' as there are a lot of similarities within their respective franchises. Both are solid entries, both compliment the narrative rather than rewrite the lore, both rely on CGI but achieve a very high standard and both are within a whisker of being the best of the franchise but reside comfortably with the top tier...I watched them back to back and that's the vibe I was getting.

I actually picked this up today Keith. I work beside Golden Discs and they gave me a 10% centre discount on it. I'm watching it tomorrow night so nice to hear you so positive about it. Golden Discs have a selection of 4k at 2 for 25 so i picked up Fury Road and Gremlins as well as they were both included in the offer. One of those weeks where I'll be watching a lot of stuff. Hi Keith! After testing my potential super power of flight by leaping from a multi storey car park, I unfortunately didn’t fly, instead plummeting into repair works under the road to upgrade gas mains. Annoyingly, the gas main ruptured in a huge explosion, and I’m currently trapped under tons of concrete, so my grand pod heist scheme is on the back burner yet again. Ouch, my back is actually burning 🔥

Thank you Keith, for another great review. I didn't catch the film in cinemas because I was actually a little put off by the implementation of CGI that was clearly visible in the trailers. What I really liked about Fury Road was the fact that George Miller did it old school. No CGI in the action scenes. There was only the sandstorm which was obviously enhanced by CGI. But the car chases, crashes and explosions were the real deal. What are your thoughts on the action sequences in Furiosa? Are they a match for Fury Road or is there really too much CGI action? Of course, I'll trust your judgement. Your live stream last friday was great as always. I really enjoy those, especially during my night shifts at the hospital.
