Her rage fueled by her grief over everything that she has lost, Furiosa seeks a vehicle in order to hunt down and take her revenge against Dementus. Although there seems to be little left, one of Immortan Joe's men tells her that he does in fact have a vehicle. Although it is old and beaten, Furiosa and a committed group of helpers are able to form a new vehicle, the "Cranky Black".
By this point, Dementus's forces has been whittled down to only himself and a small handful of his most loyal and hardy followers.
Riding out into the Wasteland, Furiosa, in the Cranky Black, then chases-down the fleeing Dementus and his gang, one by one.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga premiered at the 77th Cannes Film Festival on 15 May 2024. It was released theatrically in Australia on 23 May 2024 and in the United States the following day. The film received positive reviews from critics, who praised the story, action sequences and performances (particularly Taylor-Joy and Hemsworth).

Don't think many people have realized this scene is somewhat of a homage to the first Mad Max, where Max is hunting down the last of Toe-cutters gang in the black interceptor, just as Furiosa is hunting down the last of Dementus gang.

One of those theater experiences I’ll never forget. I sat in the second row with the screen covering my entire vision, even peripherals, and it was LOUD. Every scene with a rifle shooting and engine revving would shake the seat and it was SO immersive. Loved this film

This scene is beautifully executed in all facets. I saw the film thrice in the cinema. After
obsessively viewing it here on YT I realize all the uncanny similarities it shares with the
ending chase scenes in the very first Mad Max film, when Max steals the Pursuit Special
and then hunts down Toecutter and his gang. Said similarities exist in the cinematography
and editing techniques, in addition to the camera angles and viewpoints.

The only big difference I can tell is that Smeg's eyes didn't pop out of his skull nearly as much
as Toecutter's when they met their grisly ends 😉 After all these years I marvel
at George Miller. He appears to understand the language and musicality of cinema. And he
takes what appear to be simple chase films about vengeance, and elevates them into great art.

This final chase is exactly like the first one, go fast, stop at gun range, eliminate each and single one, even if taking down all of them wasn’t originally in the plan, Furiosa only wanted Dementus, but was willing to go a bullet at a time to do so.
