Most of the faces are probably a reflection of "If she knows that many of MY languages, what have I been doing with my life?!?" Simply brilliant, I wish I was fluent in at least ONE of those languages...

Some years ago a Korean exchange student was making a false claim for a robbery that didn't happen. She said she had a stereo, etc. that was stolen. She got a phone call and talked in her own language telling the caller what she was doing. When she hung up, the Canadian police officer arrested her in her own language.

When I first found your channel, I was stuck in the U.S. trying to get back to Japan for my job. Your videos kept me connected to Japan. Then after finally returning to Japan I met you in person in 2021. You’ve learned so many other languages since then. You’ve become like a diplomat.

The look on the face of the Vietnamese vendor when you started speaking Vietnamese to him was priceless.
It was also funny when you started speaking Mandarin, Korean and Japanese at the restaurant and almost shocked the people you were sitting with.

I love this because I can relate. My son like you speaks several languages. He loves languages. We went to a convention and he was able to translate for us in Japanese, Mandarin, Korean, Portuguese, and German. And I remember when people heard him, they were very shocked because one he’s a foreigner and two he doesn’t have an accent when he speaks. Right now he’s learning Russian and Arabic too. I am so proud of people like you and him that really take the time to learn not just the language, but the culture of people.

It's incredible how many different people you can connect and relate to simply by learning there language. I enjoyed you teaming up and becoming a dynamic duo to suprise unsuspecting people and putting a smile on their face in the process. When Anming speaks everyone stops to listen. 😄
That was very kind of the man to clean your luggage and expect nothing in return. I'm glad you insisted on him taking the tip for his hard work, he deserves it! 💜

That one woman looked terrified when you told her you'd been to every prefecture in Japan. The Asians seem like very nice people. As someone who has been here from almost the beginning, I want to say to those passing throuugh, "Please subscribe and like.!" Alyssa works harrd bringing us these wonderful videos showing us these Asian cultures and their reactions to an American who speaks their languages.

I spent a few years in the Far East. I discovered the people are amazing. They are polite. They are genuine. They are courteous. And they are willing to experience new things from a foreigner. I’d go back if I could.
Good luck in your travels… And yes, I subscribed.

I started to get into K-pop and asian dramas, probably like 2years ago and so, I wanted to start to learn Korean, so I can start to have some understanding and I like watching your channel and your interaction with native speakers in all languages. I'm trying not to be shy with even speaking and went to a local beauty supply store run by Koreans and tried my very, very basic intro convo and the lady just made such a big deal, 😆, telling everyone in the store, I knew Korean 😂, I'm not fluent, but she understood, and I was nervous, shy and proud at the same time, by the compliments and she couldn't get over my native sounding pronunciation😅 so you definitely inspire me✊🏾.

I'm English and learning Spanish and finding it difficult. The Spanish use the Roman alphabet and many of the words are very similar in English because of a lot of Latin in both languages.
This lady is I suspect not just a hard worker when it comes to learning languages but also very gifted.
Also very watchable 🥰

I love the different languages and cultures. I only speak 2 languages right now I would definitely love to learn more. I like the joy on peoples faces when you can communicate with them. They have a look of appreciation.
