Allergic reactions and Pharmacy visits in Tanzania (Like and Save)

A great thing about care this side is that not only is it affordable, it’s quality! I have a great relationship with my doctor so I can call and text him anytime when I need his medical opinion or to see him immediately when I have an emergency.

Today wasn’t an emergency but because he wasn’t in the office he just told me the medication that I needed to get from a local pharmacy WITHOUT a prescription.

Here are a few things to note if you have a medical emergency:

🛑You don’t need medical or travel insurance to be treated

👨🏿‍⚕️Medical care is accessible and VERY affordable. I’ve never paid more than $40 for an emergency room visit and was in-and-out in less than 1 hour

💊Pharmacies are readily available through the city. You don’t always need to visit a doctor for simple ailments and you do not need prescriptions to access medicines. Pharmacist are experts too!

The ease of getting medical treatment without the hassle of appointments, emergency waiting times, and excessive costs is just one more thing that I love about living here in Tanzania. 🇹🇿
