For those who are judging her... Sometimes, it's the layovers that make things hard. I’ve had countless experiences where a flight delay turned a 3-hour layover into just 1 hour due to airplane malfunctions. We don't know her side, we only see a clip. It could be 30 minutes for her or maybe she had to pick up her luggage at the transfer after a delay for the connecting flight. Let's not judge or jump to conclusions so quickly based off a short video. Sure she opened the door she wasnt supposed to, but she wasnt in the right mind space after panicking. Lets be humans and be understanding and not so hateful

When I went to Japan, everyone is so nice even tho I spoke very little Japanese. They understand that I don’t understand/can’t speak Japanese. Like they still treated me and everyone else with respect. Then when I came home to the states.. I was embarrassed. A lot of airport staff just kept yelling directions at the Japanese tourists from my flight, in like a ‘wtf are you dumb’ kind of tone. It was such a culture shock to witness as a teenager. And I noticed similar things each time I traveled.. people tend to be much ruder in the states.. we can do better yall

Sometimes being late to board is not the passenger’s fault. I once barely made it boarding because the custom person would take forever to process the passports of the people in front of me. It was clear that either he was incompetent or purposely working slower because there were half a dozen other gates with same long lines, but the people in the other lines were moving noticeably faster. I didn’t want to complain because this was a foreign country not particularly friendly to the USA. Fortunately, I made it onboard as the last passenger with the door closed behind me. I wish there were a way airlines can keep track of their customers from the moment they arrive at the airport. This way, they can keep up to date the boarding progress of these people. Isn’t this what AI is all about? AI can certainly keep track of so many people with ease. If any passenger is not where they should be on a timely basis, the airline can look for them. Not all misplaced and truant passengers are drunks and deadbeats. I am sure the majority are held back by things they have no control over. No wonder flying is so stressful. By the way, I was at airport 3 hours before my international flight. I would have been there sooner if the taxi I was riding in didn’t break down. It was a stressful experience right from the start.

The Airline employee talking to her like shes a dog "Stop it, no!" really explains everything. Some people iust have zero sympathy or ability to see past their own self importance. She was clearly flustered and confused, 5 seconds of asking how she could be helped would've made everyone feel better.

I miss my flight before the worst feeling ever and on top of that the embarrassment. I don’t know, but I think we should have a better system when you’re paying that much money. I felt robbed.

Yeah their instructions sounded as if they were saying you CAN open that door not that you CAN'T. I think she simply misheard and was stressed.

If you're late to a flight, talk to the airport personal at once. They can call the gate personal and see if they can hold it open another minute. They can also rebook you to the next flight.
