It’s amazing to me that “Entry of the Gladiators” is associated with the circus.

well, the fact that he knows all of these music and plays it looking at your soul, it's PERFECT

To play so well is a feat in itself. Absolutely amazing skill. To do it whilst giving a death stare is phenomenal.

I love how he stares with a blank look on his face, like he's unsurprised but disappointed in all of us for not knowing these song names.

It's absolutely outstanding that you're playing all of the songs perfectly without even looking at the piano! It always astonishes me!

I can always count on my staring sleep paralysis demon to treat me to wonderful piano pieces. When Czech composer Julius Fučík composes a piece originally called Grande Marche Chromatique (before changing it to Entry of the Gladiators because of his interest in the description of the gladiators in the novel Quo Vadis) as a new military march during his time as bandmaster in the Austro-Hungarian Army to show the might of the Austro-Hungarians....the Empire dissolved as the result of WWI and the march is now associated with the circus. The irony is strong with this one. Julius left a piece that has stood the test of time...just not the kind of legacy that he was hoping for. If American politics had a theme, it would definitely be this one.

Honestly, I was in awe by him playing without looking that I didn't realize the names were in the corner until #5 "the British Grenadiers".

Love this guy !
I remember playing the British Grenadiers in band 75-76 on a clarinet I had no business playing.
Cheers 🍷

I knew the names of the first two. Two I had never even heard before. It's one thing to memorize music, it's another to play without even looking at what your hands are doing. This guy is amazing!

0:17 I love how it has an actual cool and epic looking name fit for a battle but the tune itself will always reminded me to a circus theme mostly for clown which is quite a contradictory.

When I was younger, I wanted to learn piano but couldn't afford it. Thanks to this channel and Vinheteiro's online lessons, I was able to make younger self's dream come true several decades later.

I've whistled the Colonel Bogey March for decades since hearing it in The Breakfast Club, but only today did I actually learn the name of the tune.

To play Nocturne in C sharp minor with only having to look at the keys a few times is really impressive 😦 nicely done!
