Determined Exterminators with Planetscapers: Trespassers! Intruders! You pollute the garden! We preserve, we cleanse!

Well, there goes a Civic slot (planetscrapers). And may force my hand for adaptability tradition. But hey, I get an ascension perk back. I'll take it.

I was rolling my eyes a bit at this DLC but honestly that origin seems like a great fit for my aquatic barbaric despoiler space pirates.

I sure hope this storms don’t increase lag too much.

My empire when I take Storm Devotion and go to war:

O Horn-deck'd beast,
from higher sphere deliver'd.

Take root inside the tower's sculpted keepers.
And perch'd within, we beg of thee; rise

I wonder what "The Big One" is.

My bet: A permanent nexus storm that will circle the galaxy indefinitely

Planetary Diversity has a storm world as an option.
Guess I know what I am using when I get this DLC.

My theory about nexus storms: "Nexus" implies something is crossing. What if a nexus storm is a storm in which all other (or at least all other non-special) storms cross at the same time (maybe excluding shroud)? Such a storm would have the negative effects but also the positive effects of all other storms at the same time, keeping the shared effects at the same intensity. I have seen no contradictions among the storm (none do the exact opposite of another, correct me if I'm mistaken), which would pretty much kill any non-prepared empire's economy but if you're prepared to handle it be a great reward.

Planetscaper for machines would be cool. Terraformers!

Subterranean machine megacorps with relentless industrialists are already pretty powerful... Now, add in Planetscapers to the mix, along with the technology to summon storms that can further buff my already buffed alloy production. Toss in the modularity ascension path, MasterCraft Inc. as the third civic. I can become unstoppable!

To lean into the Nomenclature, RADICAL! I will always love situation based origins so this ought to be fun. As for Planet Scaper, this has its homes I think. Invasive species builds, Agrarian Idyl, tall builds, also kind of worth saying the guaranteed maybe up to 9 techs out of the roll pool means society research, most notably new worlds terraforming tech, a good bit better. Can't poke any holes in a Invasive Species, hive mind, innate design, world sculpture builds.

Hope the new origin will have more flavour than just an event every ten years, but if so, I might grow to like it.

Swear I see 3 Stellaris dlcs for every dlc I see for any other game. Paradox is on the ball with this shit.

He and aspec missed the part about the storm rider trait changing its bonus when on and off the council. I wonder if each leader class has unique bonuses? We'll have to wait and see.

The Planetscapers civic sounds great for my Selesnya Conclave RP empire. Shaping nature into a perfect, ordered garden.

Nice. Even if I don't like the storms much it's always fun to play a new Origin.
