Roger Glover is my fav member of Deep Purple and for this reason. He’s such an amazing bass player and most of the time it goes unnoticed. Next time listening to Made in Japan, listen to his bass. The tone is so fat, he’s all over the fretboard, and he keeps that groove going with Ian Paice. He’s a criminally underrated bass player

It's sad how bass and drums players work so hard and the one who gets most of the praises is the guitar player. This cover shows how all members of the group have to work hard for a good result, regardless of their instrument. Keep the good work, ok? The public needs to be educated on those things and these videos make damn good lessons.

Everyone else in DP was such a Star, that many of use never really understood how good
Roger Glover really was. One also cant really distimctly hear the bass in the original mix, But here...wow. Just wow.

As a bass player growing up in the 70s, I remember being blown away by the ending. I only used my fingers and thought Roger Glover was, too. Which would be so much harder and practically impossible. Still, with a pick, I can’t relate. And to play this—you are amazing. Hats off. !
