If it does not work for you, please check that your "x = x + hsp" is AFTER the collision code. Because if it executes before the collision calculates and just phases you through the wall. I hope you find this helpful =)

I dunno why but my vertical collisons works but not my horizontals when the codes is litteraly a copy of each others
