Seriously this is the best video I have ever seen ever! I love that a respected famous physician took the time to give the lab a shout out! Dr. Z idk if you check comments on vids this old, but just wanted to thank you. Your positive exposure of the lab while taking a fun parody approach is part of what kicked off my decision to pursue becoming a med lab scientist several years ago. I had first worked as a CNA, but felt demoralized since I wanted a medical career, but nursing just didn't seem a good fit. (May be since I'm a bit on the "artistic" side like your lab medimoji put it 😂😂)

Four years and a BS in microbiology later and I'm officially a med lab science student in clinicals and am on track to take our BOC exam next spring! ❤❤❤

When I was in nursing, lab was usually only referenced with a scoff (mostly bc of poor specimen care on the floor's part), but otherwise largely forgotten about. I wouldn't have even considered it if not for stumbling upon cool & uplifting members of the medical community like yourself who recognized the merits of others beyond your own line of skills. I've done my best to mirror that attitude whenever caught in a situation where there's any putting down of a different department as a whole. We're all a team and contribute to our shared goal in a lot of ways that often go unseen and therefore not fully appreciated!

I think this might be your most impressive parody! I can't imagine how long it took to come up with that rap. That was great! I have to spend a lot of time in hospitals and totally remember having lab techs and nurses come into my room frustrated that the samples got messed up for one of a list of reasons.

I absolutely love when your lyrics include references/terms that only people in the medical field understand (e.g., the RPR/rash/Treponema reference). It's rare to find someone who has a gift of making good lyrics/song parodies *AND* has undergone clinical training and understands the inside jokes that only those in the medical field get.
