Thank you so much for doing this video. It really helped me. My husband is disabled and we bought a used Travel Pro scooter from a medical supply place and forgot how to take the scooter apart. We never have taken it apart since we have had it. The medical supply place showed us how when we got it, but its been so long. Your video helped me a lot. It sure will help me just to take the seat and battery off to take it with us. I really don't care to take the rest apart. Just having the seat and battery off lightens it up enough that we can put it in the back of the truck.

So, the difference between the $800 Travel Pro and the $1800 Elite Traveler is a little more fiddly disassembly/assembly procedure and the batteries are contained in a battery bag instead of a plastic battery box. The Elite Traveler is somewhat larger overall. If the user is not able to bend down and remove the pin and connect the cable or does not have sufficient dexterity to do it, the Elite Traveler would be easier to use. Also, I would guess that larger longer range 18amp/hour batteries might not fit into the battery bag. There is a Drive Mobility scooter that is comparable to the Pride Elite Traveler that sells for some $800. Choice of scooters depends on the user's dexterity, lifting strength, and cognitive ability. Not all users will be able to disassemble and stow scooter parts in their car. If possible, user and helper should "try before you buy" and be aware of 3-wheel versus 4-wheel and "ability to move in grass" issues, etc. Do your homework!!

Didnt know this was an old model as they sell for 599.00 at Wal Mart and on Amazon and a few other places. However it was the only one that the heaviest piece is only 27lbs as a walk up NYC apartment dweller this was all a independent person who lives with MS could afford. But were thankful. Too bad we couldnt see where the pins come and go would have been helpful since you shot this in a long shot and no one can see actually what your doing just hear your monologe.
