In this video, I had learnt the role of knowledge management and there are four knowledge management value chain which is knowledge acquisition, knowledge storage, knowledge dissemination and knowledge application. The three major types of knowledge management systems are Enterprise-Wide Knowledge Management Systems (KMS), Knowledge Work Systems (KWS) and Intelligent Techniques (AI). The example of Enterprise-Wide Knowledge Management Systems (KMS) are enterprise content management systems and knowledge network systems. The example of Knowledge Work Systems (KWS) is computer-aided design (CAD), virtual reality systems and investment workstations. The example of Intelligent Techniques (AI) is expert system, case -based reasoning (CBR), fuzzy logic systems, neural networks, genetic algorithms and intelligent agents. Last is how to provide value for business when using these three types of knowledge management systems and their benefits. Thank you Dr, for the sharing and explanation.

Next, the business benefits of using intelligent techniques (AI) for the knowledge management are case-based reasoning in medical diagnostic systems and customers support. Other than that, fuzzy logic systems in autofocus in cameras, and Sendai's subway system acceleration controls. In addition, neural networks or pattern recognition, and genetic algorithms that is useful for finding optimal solution for specific problem.
