In this today lesson, ive learnt about three types of decisions for an example like unstructured, structured and semi structured and how the decision making process works. Not only that, i also learnt about how information system performing in the manager's activities and management decision making. in this part it can be said that the Information systems have been most helpful to managers by providing support for their roles in disseminating information, providing liaisons between organizational levels, and allocating resources. i also learnt about business intelligence and business analytics which is these two are fundamental in decision making. It can be concluded that the good decisions can lead to increased productivity and enhanced time and resource management.

Second is there are four stages of the decision-making process works which are intelligence, design, choice and implementation. Third is three types of managerial roles which are interpersonal roles, information roles and decisional roles. Fourth is business intelligence and business analytics support decision making. Fifth is different decision-making constituencies in an organization use business intelligence. Besides, six elements in the business intelligence environment includes data from the business environment, business intelligence infrastructure, business analytics toolset, managerial users and methods, delivery platform (MIS, DSS, ESS) and user interface. Main functionalities of BI systems includes production reports, parameterized reports, dashboards/scorecards, drill down and forecasts, scenarions, models. Measures outcome on four dimensions such as financial, business, customer, learning and growth.

From this video, I have learnt that unstructured is decision maker that must provide judgement, evaluation, and insight to solve problem. Structured is repetitive and routine decision maker that involve definite procedure for handling so they do not have to be treated each time as new. While, semistructured is decision maker that only part of problem has clear-cut answer provided by accepted procedure.

Other than that, the role of information systems are production report that most widely used output of BI suites for common predefined or prepackaged reports. Then, predictive analytics that use variety of data, techniques to predict future trends and behaviour patterns. Next, big data analytics that help create real-time, personalized shopping experiences for major online retailers.
