Arturia MicroFreak firmware update 3.0 - Noise Engineering Oscillators!

Here's a demo of the three new oscillator algorithms from Noise Engineering that they've stuffed into the Arturia MicroFreak.

Alot of VST out there that sound better that, even the free ones.

The MF keyboard is part of how to play the instrument in a quite different way. So not doing this does deprive yourself of finding new interesting sonic results.

Hmm... As an owner of Ableton Suite, there was nothing that really grabbed me in any of those "new" sounds - I think I could quite easily do most of them as a preset / tweak... I'm not meaning to be "snobby" or anything, but I don't really get the USP for the MicroFreak... If it makes others happy then, great!
PS I do also have a Neutron which I use for sounds and post-processing when necessary, so I do get the "analog thing" - going to get some Behringer Roland & Moog clone Filter modules soon to extend my analogue processing capability :)

*almost* better is the unison mode with a choice of 1-4 oscillators and detuning up to 12 semitones.

That harm patch from around 30:30 sounds like a Boss SP303 or similar. Chuck a bit of delay/reverb on that and it'd be lovely.
