As a bricklayer screwing in wall ties to existing walls etc I use nothing else but these screw in their 50mm format mainly. Brilliant invention and a lot better than plastic plugs. Just drill your hole 1mm smaller than the screw size and they go in with no effort if using a cordless drill.

These really are awesome screws, people would never think to use these, they're to under rated

They are ideal for fixing studwork to uneven walls. I've been using them for years. Worked on a barn conversion in The Peak District drilling into very uneven, hard limestone. They are easily adjustable, screwing back and forth until the lines are plumb with adjacent studs. Problem is I keep losing my torx driver bits.

Had no issues with these - apart from not pre-drilling in long enough. Despite clearing out hole I still find eeds at least ~10mm deeper than the screw is long - or bit more.
For an extra security in anchoring (neurotic maybe?) I still dip in end in gorilla glue +water before screwing fast.

Sometimes you have to pre drill the hole with a 5.5mm sds bit depending on the application

But you dont mention what diameter masoinry drill you need for eg 7.7mm screws!! My local Screwfix store advised 5mm so I bought a drill but I think it needs nearer 6mm.

Are these any good for fixing wall cabinets?

With new electrical regulation with plastic plugs a no no at fire exits these will tick the box. Only issue you may have is with older crumblier walls.
