My mother went to school wearing a dress her mother made from paper. They had newspapers on the walls for insulation. My mother passed away last December at 90. There was no birth control and my grandmother had my mom when she was 45 yrs old. Her one brother was 27 yrs older than her. Both of my grandparents cooked on wood cookstoves, and had outhouses. My dad’s mom hauled water into the house with buckets and we took a bath in a metal round wash tub. So many were very very poor. My dad was born in the house, no doctor. His dad stitched up a cut he had. They logged with horses and plowed fields with horses. We today have no idea what poor is.

I'm 63 yes old but remember seeing what was left of a giant castle built on a small barrier island in the Gulf near Grande Isle, LA. Years and years ago there were many man barrier islands in the Gulf. They have all been claimed by the Gulf. The castle that I could see from Grande Isle beach at 15 yrs old has not been seen for many yrs now. So much of civilization is off on all these sunken barrier reefs all over the world. It is nonsensical to build huge well constructed castles and forts on barrier islands with no resources for human survival. I think it's all buildings that were spared and reclaimed after a cataclysmic event. We were just lied to.
