The Cleveland weather continues to be gorgeous! But it's going to get very hot across Northeast Ohio.

“If you like the heat, you’re going to love what’s happening over the next couple of days," says 3News meteorologist Hollie Strano. "We’ve got a really big warmup coming, and it will kind of just launch us into a taste of summer as we get into the weekend.”

But first...

Today we'll be slightly above average as highs hit the upper 70s with dry conditions and sunshine expected.

Some rain and storms move in early Friday morning.

“That’s going to be a very short-lived kind of thing," Strano said. "By tomorrow afternoon, we are mostly sunny and we are literally in the upper 80s to 90 for your Friday. Although we’re starting off with some showers and storms, we’ll get those out of the way and then the rest of the day is going to be dry and really summery.”

Strano is also predicting that we'll see some records broken when it comes to the heat on Friday. The record high temperature for May 20 (which is Friday) is 91 degrees set back in 1962.

Here is your 3-day Cleveland weather forecast.

TODAY: A mix of sun and clouds. Warmer. Mid to upper 70s.

FRIDAY: It's a hot one! Muggy, too. Around 90.

SATURDAY: Staying hot. Scattered p.m. storms. Mid to upper 80s.
