if you’re wondering what shoes👟 to wear in the gym🏋️ - think less⬅️ chunky, less⬅️ spongey and more➡️ solid, more➡️ flat. Ideally we’d be allowed to train in socks / barefoot but that’s a safety hazard⚠️ in public gyms, and pretty gross lol. So we want to mimic this is much as possible when picking our shoes for lifting weights.

It's not MAKE OR BREAK, or *that* deep but its worth noting chunky trainers will add instability between your foot and the ground because the often have foamy, curved〰️ soles. Opt for a flatter➖, more solid style where possible

If accessible✅, you could look into getting some multi-purpose gym or lifting shoes. These will have a flat sole and enough room at the front of the shoe for you to comfortable flex your toes. The model shown here are Nike Metcons..
