I’m sitting hunched over my canvas because I taught myself that way and now it feels like I’m painting with my left hand when I try to paint with the easel like in the video, I need to prop my arm on something(normally my leg) or I’m gonna mess it up

YES! You develop skills people would never consider, like how to adjust, switch or turn each brush as needed, including the on in your mouth, and not including me who uses one pant leg for wiping off extra paint, the other for drying the brush when my dabbing paper is all used up and using my own skin as a palette. We Are the ARTist. 😂

i start off very serene and by the end i’m finger painting and my arms are covered in paint cause i gave up on washing my brushes

it sounds so glamorous to some people when i say "im a painter" but then they walk in on me painting and im hunched over like a creature, covered in colors im not even using, theres random doodles on my leg from when i got bored waiting for a part to dry, paintbrushes in my mouth, etc

Weirdly random connection, but i feel this in my bones as a microbiologist because we're always holding multiple test tubes, caps, scrappers, etc and a pipette in every possible crevice our hands have to offer. 😂

And bottles! Those small paint bottles? They go in the hand. Not to mention the extra paint smears on my leg, using my desk as a pallet, paintbrush in mouth, and some form of technology somewhere
