How fast is SvelteKit vs Vue, React and Angular?

While SvelteKit is not even officially released yet I thought I would take this early version of it and compare the default project page speed and bundle size with Vue, React and Angular.

While this isn’t truly a fair test as SvelteKit is a framework built on top of Svelte, I thought it would be fun to compare. So instead of testing SvelteKit vs Nuxt or SvelteKit vs Next I am going to benchmark it up against the core frameworks themselves.

I wonder where you got that information from about angular being poor on performance when its being used on enterprise applications.

Whats your point when you compare different kind of default projects of different js frameworks ?

I’d go farther and compare other factors like final build sizes and development experience. Also if you showed how much easier it is to do universal/ssr in svelte compared to the others there would be no comparison. I will say Vue cli does provide a great dashboard for metrics/errors/etc.

People who think Angular is slower than React probably haven't looked at Angular since 2016. Everyone knows the bundle sizes are big, but performance has been at least on par since 2017 ish.
