A new report is suggesting women in the workforce have been set back by the COVID-19 pandemic – with data indicating 47 per cent of women are dissatisfied with their work.

A Deloitte survey of 500 women revealed 76 per cent of women have taken on more work since the outset of coronavirus, with many less optimistic about their careers.

Deloitte Managing Partner Jo Gorton told Sky News the data highlighted there were “a number of opportunities I think for businesses and government to do some things differently, to really support women in the workforce”.

“Flexible working, well-being, parental leave are all areas which can help support women in the workforce but some really interesting findings that came through the report was also a real focus around the reporting and dealing with non-inclusive behaviour that sometimes does happen in a workplace.”

Ms Gorton also pointed out “a benefit of COVID-19 has shown that flexible working and hybrid working really can work for both businesses and or everyone in the workforce and absolutely long may it continue.”

Women are happier raising children while their husband takes care of the finances.

A woman will never be satisfied at work... until she wears a crown and is treated like a Princess by the other hunchbacks.

If humans can create vaccines in a number of months, surely we can figure out how to have women satisfied in the work place.

There is still terrible gender inequity in many
Society should prioritise fixing these issues immediately:

Sanitation.
Oil exploration and production.
Construction & civil engineering.
Fire fighting.
Front line Military duty.
High voltage power line maintenance.
Mining.
Asbestos removal & remediation.
Automotive manufacturing and maintenance.
Merchant marine.
Deep sea trawling & fishing.

_We have failed as a society and failed our women until these industries achieve 50% representation_

Spoiler alert most of us don't want to work 8 to 9 hours a day either. Pretty sure it's been that way about as long as society has expected men to support a family financially, no pressure. Maybe start by not living lives that require 2 full time income streams to get by.

They wrote a song in 1939 for women in the workplace
'We get up at twelve and start to work at one
Take an hour for lunch and then at two we're done
Jolly good fun
That's how we laugh the day away
In the merry old land of Oz'
