A new report is suggesting women in the workforce have been set back by the COVID-19 pandemic – with data indicating 47 per cent of women are dissatisfied with their work.
A Deloitte survey of 500 women revealed 76 per cent of women have taken on more work since the outset of coronavirus, with many less optimistic about their careers.
Deloitte Managing Partner Jo Gorton told Sky News the data highlighted there were “a number of opportunities I think for businesses and government to do some things differently, to really support women in the workforce”.
“Flexible working, well-being, parental leave are all areas which can help support women in the workforce but some really interesting findings that came through the report was also a real focus around the reporting and dealing with non-inclusive behaviour that sometimes does happen in a workplace.”
Ms Gorton also pointed out “a benefit of COVID-19 has shown that flexible working and hybrid working really can work for both businesses and or everyone in the workforce and absolutely long may it continue.”
