Economy and national security are the 'two issues' where the Coalition 'can be strong'

Former Speaker of the House Bronwyn Bishop says the Coalition government now has to “get on to the question” of the economy and national security.

“They’re the two issues where they can be strong,” Ms Bishop told Sky News host Rowan Dean.

The problem with winning on national security is you need a villain.

And I don't think anyone appreciates being cast as the villain.

People also don't want to hear about a potential nuclear holocaust right now either.

There is also no doubt environment is a big issue, and ignoring it..🤷🏽‍♂️

If we know that change is inevitable, why not be the director of it, rather than an idle observer (to paraphrase late Gill Scott Heron.)

All people need right now is reassurance and hope.
