Funny how a song written in the mid-90's speaks volumes of what's happening in 2020 and beyond.

The lyrics get more and more chilling as each year goes by.

So several people have mentioned how relevant this song is now. It was relevant in the 1990s of course though....the wars that Yugoslavia broke apart with, the Persian Gulf war at the beginning of the decade, Kosovo, and some other wars too. Despite being a decade of "peace" after the end of the cold war, crime was also actually pretty bad for at least the first half of the 1990s too in the US.

It's amazing how a video game from the mid 90's can be so telling of the world's current state.

I remember when I first heard this music in 1996. It ***still*** holds its edge. Captivates, inspires, scares, and rocks!

Command and Conquer was the first video game I ever played, and it's still one of the best. I remember playing it on my PS1 all the time, it's the reason why I love RTS games so much.

Wow, can you believe that was 18 years ago?! Andi545, if you did that video, great job. The simplicity of it = badass. While I always imagined news footage of riots, molotov (sp?) cocktails and general anarchy, this is cool. Thanks for that. And thanks to everyone who loved the game and this song. I was sorry to see Westwood be consumed by EA. In 1995, I don't think any of the gaming companies were using independent music in video games. Westwood took a chance and we owe them our thanks.

Too bad this song was not included in the Remaster, especially considering these are destructible times.

Hello. Year is 2022. The song is about the last 5 years at least, maybe even about the whole XXI century.

that one part "armies of hatred that no longer have civil rights." perfectly encapsulates the vanu sovereignty from planetside 2, an indocrinated alien worshipping cult like armada that deems humanity as a whole as insects. not exactly a real life based comment but it came to my mind.

While this is playing: Images of a crane pulling a rock out of the ground, then said rock is displayed in a museum and shows: Cain killing Abel....
