I hit FIRE at the age of 43. I also had a late start in the investing world because I didn't hear about it until I was near my mid 30s. I definitely wasn't living the stereotypical penny-pinching lifestyle during my journey. The people who used such stereotypes were often those who had excuses for not wanting to invest.
