Very good point about sticking to what you like and what you are used to. I've tried VDJ, Serato DJ Intro (now called Serato DJ Lite), but ended up liking Algoriddim's DJay, which I have upgraded to DJay Pro 2. The others may have features DJay Pro doesn't have and vice versa, but I find it easy to use.

thank you so i keep virtual dj and i wait for a new instrument controller 200 pounds to work with virtual dj but this one controller is basic and beginners is great deal and it is build 3 outputs and 2 inputs and it is stand alone small mixer 2 channels i hope it be great

I love Traktor has so many powerfull features over the rest, would love for you to do Traktor videos showing its features like Stems, remix decks etc.

I tell most of the newer DJ's i see to start with rekordbox. try free versions of the rest, What ever you feel your professional best at, you can make up your mind after a couple of months. i can DJ on anything, so i can not give a good answer to which one is the best. I like them all.

I started with VDJ, then moved to SERATO, which i love... the only thing i miss about VDJ, is that their AutoMix function actually mixes the songs, and SERATO there is DEAD AIR in between songs... WTFFF??? I have to use a long mix, during dinners / desserts, or cocktail...
i know some DJs, bring a 2nd laptop, just for VDJ during dinner etc.. lol..

Still go to Traktor since I love midi mapping and having layers of items for techno and edm mixes. The other platforms are good, but not as flexible and deep as traktor when it comes to creating your own maps, FX combos, etc

If only Traktor would implement elastic beatgrids! I have used Traktor for years, even with my Serato-made DDJ-SR because I just can't get used to Serato (plus I have the NI F1 and X1 and Serato doesn't find my iTunes library, but that's a complete other issue), but elastic beatgrids would help so much with transition tracks or older records...

Better equipment doesnt make a betterr Dj, your only as good as the tools you use(ps im old, i use traktor scratch, with vinyl time codes)
