-Virtual DJ does support camelot key
This content costed me more 4 weeks to make. It is hard to keep track of a project like this, I made some mistakes, sorry for that

VDJ 2024 all the way… nothing compares…. Been using and supporting them for 20 years.

Your Traktor review is outdated and mostly based on the older Pro 3 version. In Pro 4 however, there's no intimidating setup wizard anymore and it now supports multiple key notations.

Rekordbox is only good for usb stick prep. The software is just a mess and garbage.
Serato #1 🙌🏽

Would say the best software is the one you most comfortable using.

We need to stop this whole “Industry Standard” nonsense. Pioneer makes average software and Overpriced hardware. The technology is 2 years behind Denon and VirtualDJ does way more than Rekordbox. Denon EngineOS is way better for hardware use, but EngineDJ management software is an abomination. I agree too, that the Serato gridding is absolutely useless. Try beatgridding Afro House or Disco in it.

Also, any developers reading this, you need to incorporate Camelot / Open key notation in your software. 90% of Dj’s don’t know music notation 😉

Used Serato since scratch live V1, and still use it.
I have never had the problems you had, with beatgrids not being correct.
It's brilliant.

Started with Traktor about 15 years ago then moved to Rekordbox DJ for the last 10 and now after all the problems with Rekordbox, I've switched to Virtual DJ. Best move I've ever made. Virtual DJ is far superior than all the others. I stayed away from it because the rep of it being a wedding dj or unprofessional software. The support is outstanding, where Alphatheta is terrible. Virtual DJ is the best.... I will continue to use Rekordbox for my set prep for my club gigs and that's it.

I agree.... I use both Serato & Virtual DJ and given that I've owned several Pioneer controllers (DDJ-800 & 1000, Rev 5 and an DDJ-SX2) I have Rekordbox as well and (To me) Rekordbox should've been further down the list but VDJ wouldv'e been my #1 and Serato 2nd due to VDJ's flexibility. I do flip back and forth between Serato & VDJ but personally don't care for Rekordbox at all.

Djay has I believe all of the features you could not find. I had the same issue...and found that there were key commands for beat jump which is kind of a bad design, but I use the key commands to beat jump to prep my tracks. if I wanted to use it live, I would just have to map beat jump commands to my controller.

did u justsaid stems sound not great on VDJ. did u try this software? i own rekordbox and serato and vdj. with 32 years of djing i can say that VDJ is the best in every single way no other software can be compared to it. serato is super heavy on pcs or macs and the browser is the worst. rekordbox is buggy and lags a lot and misses a lot of features

I have been using Traktor since Traktor Scratch was released with Audio 4 interface. Then TSP2, 3 and now 4. I must say Native Instruments have been solid in everyway. Software is priced right especially for beginners. There is no need for subscriptions to unlock features and compatible with all controllers... even my legacy DN-MC6000 first Gen running stems. Those that have pervious versions get a discounted price. I have performed live and NEVER had any drama with Traktor. The Stem seperation is superior.

Traktor is and always will be king in my book, all the rest were just poor imitations from the get go.

I love Virtual DJ i am currently learning it. When I bought my DJ controller the Pioneer Rev1 it came with Serato lite but I didnt like it is, really slow and the interface is not really intuitive to me. So I searched fir another software that supported my Rev1 and VirtualDJ was the only other option xD I was surprised that VDJ could support basically every DJ controller in existence, and now I love it!, it has so many features and I love its interface and moreover is really cheap compared to Serato, while the price of the lifetime license of VDJ for my Pioneer Rev1 is 90 USD, serato pro is 300 USD!!!

Traktor Pro's analysis is pretty slow, but it's been so accurate for me. I switched to Traktor last year and analyzed 650 tracks for a library. I only had to adjust like five grids.

Your Traktor Review is outdated. We're on Traktor 4 now.

Serato have some problems in beatgrid yeah but not in stems... Is the best or the top 2 before Traktor.
Rekordbox of course would be the top 1 because of the pioneer monopoly... we HAVE to install it if we want to use stand-alone... but is a mid software (and the stems are terrible, the worst in the market)

I use Serato. Love it. It was the choice of vinyl dj's converting to DVS. It is also the choice of dj's who manually beatmatch and/or scratch mix. So the beatgrid stuff is thoroughly useless to me. I never use sync. Stems is separated in four parts on Serato by the way. There is a button to the left of the deck that you can press to bring up vocals, music, bass, drums. Some songs are separated very well. Others are not. I do believe how the tracks are recorded affects that.

I use Rekordbox on my thumb drives when I have to spin on CDJ's, otherwise I prefer vinyl or Serato.

On serato you are useing 1 deck. If you had picked 2 decks, it would have been bigger. Yes, some track are off. You can click on edit adjust to get beat and timing right.

for vdj you can turn key style to camelot from the options.
