Nice recipe! I make these all the time for my guests...usually do about 1.5 oz of gin, .5 oz simple syrup, and .75 oz lemon juice. The crushed ice might be a bit redundant here as the glass and champagne are already very cold, and it would probably just dilute the drink (some people might like that).
