FINALLY! someone mentions JJThunder. This is the mod that will be filling that world-generation shaped hole in my heart.
Highly recommend using this mod with Valkyrien Skies to make your own airships so you don't have to walk everywhere.

This actually looks insane. Now we just need Mojang to rework the Chunk rendering/loading system to make it significantly faster, and then coupled with some decent hardware this could actually become how future minecraft is played.

These mods are the only reason I'd upgrade my PC beyond what I realistically need... absolutely breathtaking. I know it's still blocky, but it's just so much cooler to have stuff like this in Minecraft since you know for a fact that huge mountain in the distance is fully breakable and you can actually reach it, endless possibilities!

if only cubic chunks was compatible! With this mod a chunk has 520, 192 blocks (8x more than vanilla). This means that every chunk will take 8x longer to create, combined with the massive render distances required to appreciate the mod, you end up with utterly ridiculous load times. If we had cubic chunks we could choose to only load parts of those chunks, leading to chunk loading as efficient as vanilla. Problem is how would cubic chunks + distant horizons work?

JJThunder + Create Aeronautics (when it comes out) would be sick. Imagine crossing giant deserts and mountains in a huge mothership with friends

JJThunder is only good for cinematic purposes, it is borderline impossible to play with normally because the TPS (ticks per second) drops drastically making survival gameplay highly inefficient.

Good to see you're covering it! It's a ridiculously brutal mod as far as CPU load goes. Loading that many blocks in a single chunk is REALLY hard on a lower end chip xD

Thats awesome. I think minus render times, something like this has a lot of potential.

If you dropped a decently sized server of players into this world im interested to see how theyd tackle living in such a spaced out world. Things like creating large player settlements could be an interesting idea
