How To Negotiate House Price After Inspections

Can you negotiate the price of a house after you do an inspection? You can pull out of the contract for any reason so you must get the property under contract as soon as possible and then do your due diligence. If you find any reason to negotiate a different price or to abandon the purchase, you can.

Another factor you need to consider is the current real estate market. Have an understanding of that before getting into the conversation. If it's a hot seller's market you'll have less negotiating power.

What items are reasonable to ask for? Credit for an old ac that still works? Wearher sealing a deck?

Was hoping for more info, what do you ask for in repairs? What is typical? Roof repair? Exposed electrical rewiring? Corroded pipe that leaks and needs replaced?

Hi. I went into a purchase contract with the new builder, but in the contract there was no contingency addendum formed. The only thing it mentioned with financial contingency. Does that mean I cant do an inspection before closing?

Hey Ryan, good video. I’m buying a house in houston Texas. I think the market is not sellers for sure. It is a new construction and seller wanted to close it by end of May however my inspection done on May 23rd and detailed report was shared where the inspector found a stain on the primary bedroom and possible leaks so I asked seller to give detailed report about it and we found the backyard is not even so I can see water got patched here and there, and we do reported other multiple petty issues. Backyard not even and stain are two big ones. Do you think I can ask for closing discounts?
