Gotta love Starlight, you know? She essentially went through hell coming to terms with who and what she is and is trying to actually maintain a sense of morality and integrity despite literally 95% of people telling her not to. That my friends is the textbook definition of a superhero.

This is so much like BlackMirror where the main character makes his speech on how fucked up the system is only for his “revolution” to be exploited as more mindless entertainment. Much like how Starlights own Revolt is bittersweet.

Starlight is one of my favorite characters in the boys Because the rest of the seven think they know it all and can getaway with shit but still she believes in goodness and being human and not being like the media or commercialism for popularity . She’s speaking from the heart.
That’s one of the reasons I like the Boys .

This was a crowning moment for Starlight! Telling everyone her honest opinion instead of reading the script that Vought wrote for her. Despite everything she's been through, she still believes in good and that's what makes her so awesome.

I literally clapped along with Hughie when I saw this scene for the first time. Starlight is truly a hero in every way! And she is perhaps the ONLY hero on this show.
Sharing stuff like this is never easy and in comics there are many heroes (men and women) who have gotten raped. I am so glad that we got a scene like this where a hero straight up calls out the rapist (especially since he is a fellow 'hero').

What I especially like is that she stops the music but the starlight font behind her remains there. She dismisses the false "happy" tune and the fake script and lets the starlight shine pure, with all its mystery and unknownability. Embrace your uncertainty, every form of certainty is a form of lie

Starlight is so underrated. She’s such a beacon of light in a world that’s mostly cold and unforgiving. Throughout the series she’s voicing the sadness of the reality they live in. It’s her positivity that makes certain parts stick out. The fact she sticks to her morality throughout the series and that’s easily one of the reasons she’s the greatest character in the boys show (and yes I’ve read the comics)😊

This episode was in the first season but it immediately solidified Starlight as my favorite character in the show. Her remark earlier in the episode about not knowing if you changed, or if the church changed is far too relatable to me as someone who grew up religious and then became disillusioned with organized religion.
