HOW TO MAKE SIMPOL GYOZA

Satisfy those gyoza cravings by making this Japanese dumpling at home. Yup, no need to dine out at a Japanese restaurant anymore. It’s actually super easy to recreate this recipe. Plus, the flavors are absolutely as close to authentic Japanese as possible. Make sure to follow the double cooking process of steaming and pan-frying for the best end product. INGREDIENTS
For the meat mixture:
1 cup ground pork
2 cups chopped cabbage
3 shiitake mushrooms, diced
1/4 cup chopped onion leeks
1 tablespoon grated ginger
1 teaspoon minced garlic
2 tablespoons Japanese Soy Sauce
1 teaspoon salt
Black pepper
1 tablespoon sesame oil
gyoza or siomai wrapper (round)
1/4 cup flour
cooking oil
For the steaming liquid:
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon flour
For the dipping sauce:
1 tablespoon Japanese soy sauce
1 teaspoon vinegar or rice wine vinegar
1 tablespoon chili oil
chopped spring onions, for garnish
