A balisong, also known as a fan knife, butterfly knife or Batangas knife, is a type of folding pocketknife that originated in the Philippines.
Its distinct features are two handles counter-rotating around the tang such that, when closed, the blade is concealed within grooves in the handles.

As a welder/fabricator of almost 10 years, this is 10/10. Insane machine work and to top that, insane craftsmanship. Wow, I truly wonder how long this build took.

What gets me is the fact that even the pivot screws were made and not bought - that’s some talent

I'm not gonna lie: for a moment there I did not expect it to be as good as I imagined it would be, but then it turned out to be 1000x better than I could ever imagine. Trust the crafting process and trust the mind behind it, I say!

Anybody who’s ever cut 1/4” steel with a dremel before knows the struggle. Your hand work is unreal. Absolutely terrific

That was a lot of work, but the result is easily one of the most gorgeous blades I've ever seen. Very well done, sir.

Despite being a bit over the top on the design, this knife is easily not only the best butterfly knife I have ever seen, but probably the best knife overall that I have seen. Amazing work!

I guess I'm the only one shocked at the efficiency test at the end. So used to people slicing paper or food this man stabbed a water bottle all the way through and sliced it straight up so clean I was really not expecting that. Hell of a blade and considering how much effort went into forging it I imagine it would take an awful lot of usage before dulling at all

Sir, you are an extremely skilled craftsman. I fully respect the patients and consideration that goes into such a high level of quality. My father was an extremely skilled carpenter and glass cutter. I loved working with him as a child growing up. I have my own level of skills in other areas like welding, steam fitting and such. I really hope one day I can take the time to just breathe and be like you. Thanks for sharing your valuable time with everyone. Your work is pristine and unparalleled. God bless you and your family. Be safe and healthy.

Being a machinist myself, that was pretty dang cool man…..that’s why I picked the trade, working with your hands, cutting metal and making something out of nothing. Always a pleasure to watch!

I really wish I could do this kind of stuff. If would be cool if I could go back in time and be a blacksmith apprentice in the medieval ages

I believe craftsmanship is more about patience than talent. You clearly have both! Congratulations! Very skillful!
